Role: Software Engineer – Payment Digitization Platform.
Work on Java/Java EE application development and the full software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities include requirements analysis, technical solution design, application implementation, integration, REST-based services, and support.
Be part of an Agile Scrum team, contributing to coding, testing, debugging, and delivering production-ready solutions.
Collaborate with business owners, technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Location: Atlanta (Hybrid, days in office confirmed by Hiring Manager).

Design solutions based on business requirements and use cases.
Conduct proof of concepts and technical evaluations.
Contribute to detailed design and use case documentation.
Work with internal teams to resolve technical issues and develop solutions.
Analyze current architecture & propose optimizations for performance and quality.
Follow best practices, standards, and guidelines.
Communicate technical concepts effectively with peers and stakeholders.
Incorporate Visa’s business vision, industry trends, and environment into results-driven solutions.

6 months–2 years of professional experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Hands-on experience in Java EE application design and development.
Strong grasp of object-oriented analysis, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
Understanding of test-driven development.
Creative, proactive problem-solving with urgency and focus on customer experience.
Experience collaborating with QA, architects, and analysts.
Ability to estimate effort using model-based and practical approaches.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in dynamic environments.
Comfortable with rapid change, ambiguity, and decision-making under risk.
Experience working in complex, matrixed, and regulated environments.
Global/international exposure with cross-cultural collaboration.
