Software Engineer Intern Overview

• 12-week internship working on complex tech problems such as distributed systems, real-time communication, 3D co-experience, data processing, social networking, rendering, and physics.

You Will

• Join a supportive software engineering team, collaborate with top engineers, and receive mentorship while contributing to live projects.
• Deliver strong production work, participate in the software development cycle including coding, testing, and deployment.
• Take ownership of a complete project from start to finish, collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting your work to peers and leaders.
• Work closely with teams such as Design, Product, Data, QA, and DevOps to deliver cohesive features and products.
• Explore cutting-edge technologies like machine learning frameworks and large language models (LLMs) to enhance engineering systems.
• Participate in the team matching process, working on projects such as Roblox’s search and discovery, economy ecosystem, game engine, or infrastructure.

You Are

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient or working towards proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Node.js, Ruby, Python, C++, Lua, Swift, C#, or Java.
• Passionate about games, user-generated content, creator economies, and social networking.
• Excited about learning and creating great experiences with your team to achieve shared goals.

Hourly Pay Range

• $62 USD per hour
