As a Software Engineer I, you will join a team of software and platform engineers.
Your team will enhance platform core services and design and develop tools for managing 100% availability.

Contribute to hands-on platform development activities – coding, debugging, and testing.
Build, integrate, support, and improve data streaming services on Akamai Platform with focus on performance metrics systems.
Conduct code and design reviews with peers; document work and engage in process improvement.
Design and develop DevOps tools to ensure seamless software delivery systems.
Develop processes and tools to monitor, analyze, maintain, and improve data pipelines usability and observability.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience with SQL and at least 2 of: Golang, Python, C/C++, Rust.
Knowledge of distributed systems and Linux networking, including TCP/IP, SSH, SSL, and HTTP protocols.
Understanding of big data platforms such as Apache Pulsar, Apache Flink, or Apache Spark.
Skills in Bash scripting and SQL.
