Seeking a Web Scraping Specialist with significant experience in data extraction and web scraping techniques.
Join a small, specialized team to gather and analyze data, optimize scraping processes, and support Grass’s vision for accessible internet data.

Proven ability to extract data from complex websites with minimal supervision; portfolio of past projects preferred.
Proficient in Python or JavaScript, with expertise in libraries like BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, or Selenium.
Knowledge of asynchronous programming, multithreading, and distributed scraping.
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the DOM.
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra, including designing efficient storage solutions.
Ability to apply machine learning algorithms for data cleaning, categorization, or predictive analysis is a plus.
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for large-scale scraping deployments.
Participation in open-source projects related to web scraping or data processing is desirable.

Write, test, and refine code to extract data from various online sources efficiently and reliably.
Handle complex data retrieval tasks, including pagination and dynamic content loaded with AJAX.
Clean and format extracted data to meet quality standards for further use.
Store and manage scraped data in optimized databases, ensuring speed and integrity.
Monitor scraping processes regularly, troubleshoot issues, and maintain continuous data flow.
